The Suzie Fund

The Suzie Fund was created to stop the needless suffering of animals left untreated because of a lack of financial resources. Your donation to the Suzie Fund ensures that no animal is left behind.

Through the fundraising efforts of PAAWS RI, donations made to the Suzie Fund provide aid to the feral cats, homeless dogs and cats, and companion animals of impoverished pet owners needing costly medical care.

The Suzie Fund enables partner organization Care for Animals Veterinary Hospital to provide critical treatment such as amputation, diabetes treatment, dental surgery, eye removal, abscess treatment and tumor removal.

100% of your donation provides emergency medical care to our most vulnerable and overlooked animals.

About Suzie: Suzie was brought into Care for Animals in 2010 as a stray. She was only eight months old and had been hit by a car, leaving her hind legs paralyzed.

We thought, “What are we going to do with a paralyzed cat?”

The answer: “Give her a chance.”

Seven years later, Suzie continues to charm our guests with her affectionate personality and endearing walk, her hind legs gliding behind her as she meets and greets visitors.

This amazing creature has become a ‘spokescat’ for animals who, above all, just need one thing: to be given a chance.
