CAT ADOPTION ALERT: BOGART – GET OUT…A CAT BED? FOR ME??

BOGART is a two-year-old black and white male cat. Bogart is two years old, but when he came to us he looked sixty-two years old. This poor boy was beat up, very thin, and with a serious abscess on his face. We couldn’t give him enough food, and he slept for a week, rarely leaving his cat bed (which he loves!). Now that he’s safe, with plenty of food and feeling much better, his personality shines. Bogart is very social, and loves human attention. He especially loves to be close to you, and will move his body...

CAT ADOPTION ALERT: CINNAMON – A PRETTY AND PERSONABLE CALICO

CINNAMON is a three-year-old calico female cat. Cinnamon was found in a high turnover rental area, and we suspect she was abandoned because she was spayed. Cinnamon was very frightened, dirty and hungry when found, and she is still somewhat apprehensive, quite understandable given her former circumstances! Our volunteers and staff are convincing this young lady there is nothing to fear any longer, for she will be safe and well-fed and cared for in the future. Cinnamon is a petite and very pretty calico, with an...

CAT ADOPTION ALERT: SONG – A LILAC POINT SIAMESE, AND A SONG IN PROGRESS

SONG is a six-year, four-month-old lilac point Siamese female cat. Song was acquired for breeding purposes, and she’s been quite the workhorse in her lifetime. The breeder is experiencing health issues, and so Song came to us. Song does lack some social skills with humans, and our staff and volunteers will be industriously convincing her that humans are great companions for felines! Song will flourish in a home that will be patient and understanding of a life spent making kittens, and with no knowledge of...

CAT ADOPTION ALERT: CHUBBS – SAFE AT LAST!

CHUBBS is a one year old black and white male cat.  Chubbs was found in an industrial area with some residential housing, and he was very ill. Chubbs had a horrible upper respiratory infection, and without medical intervention he probably wouldn’t have made it. He was dirty, beat-up, and covered in scabs from wounds. Now that he has regained health, Chubbs has become an affectionate and easy-going feline. He loves other cats, and he loves his head scratched. He makes us laugh, because first thing in the morning...

CAT ADOPTION ALERT: SLUGGER – THE FINAL FRONTIER

SLUGGER is a six-year-old grey and white male cat. Slugger was rescued from a junkyard, where it appears he lived most of his life – his ears are crinkled, testimony to the struggles he endured to survive. Slugger went into foster care, and we wondered if this boy could ever learn to be anything but withdrawn and frightened. Turns out he could, thanks to the kindness, patience, and gentleness of his foster family. Slugger spent the entire first month rooted in his litterbox, eyes darting back and forth, and...

CAT ADOPTION ALERT: MR. BUTTONS – CUTE AS A…YOU GUESSED IT…A BUTTON!

BUTTONS is a four and a half old grey tabby male cat. Mr. Buttons was found in a residential neighborhood that experiences a high-turnover in renters. We suspect Mr. Buttons was a family cat at one time, and possibly abandoned. He was very apprehensive when he first came to us, but his confidence level has increased, and he loves to observe the hectic pace of shelter activities. Mr. Buttons loves to have the top of his head scratched, and give him a wand to play with and he’s all over it! Mr. Buttons likes...
